SECURITY PROTOCOL

IPS AdvisorPro™ takes security very seriously. Our Web services are developed and maintained by highly skilled professionals and data security experts.

IPS AdvisorPro™ uses 128-bit Security Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. This is the same level of encrypted security used by banks, financial firms and major credit card companies. While you navigate your account, note the URL starts with HTTPS rather than HTTP. The ā€˜S’ stands for secure. Secure means encrypted. To encrypt means to encode. We do this mathematically using a public-key cryptography system developed by RSA. When we describe encryption as 128-bit encryption, we are describing the extent to which your information is protected. 128-bit encryption is the strongest form of data encryption commercially available, so strong in fact that the federal government limits its distribution to domestic use only. Basically, more bits translate into more security.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is another security convention used by IPS AdvisorPro™. SSL establishes a secure session by electronically authenticating each end of an encrypted transmission. The idea is that you know exactly whom you are communicating with before sending any sensitive information. Using SSL also stops someone who might be trying to gather the packets of data that are transmitted between your computer and the IPS AdvisorPro™ servers from being able to use them because only the two computes that are the authenticated parties have the keys to unlock the data packets.

When attempting to use IPS AdvisorPro™, subscribers must authenticate using their Customer ID and personal identification numbers (PIN) or password. Do not share your PIN or password with anyone. IPS AdvisorPro™ recommends that users of our service take the following measures to maintain the highest level of security:

  • Create a PIN that is easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Don't use sequential or repetitive characters, or PINs such as your phone number or date of birth.

  • Don't reveal your PIN to anyone.
PRIVACY

IPS AdvisorPro™ values your privacy. We do not collect your information for any use other than to provide you important information and updates on IPS AdvisorPro™. All your personal information as a registered IPS AdvisorPro™ user, and the personal and financial information of your clients which arise from use of IPS AdvisorPro™, is kept completely secure and confidential with state of the art technology and protocols.
